The
Design
Process for
developing
a web
site can
be more
complicated
than most
people
think.
We work
closely
with our
customers
every
step of
the way
from determining
overall
site goals
to site
map planning
and graphic
design.
Throughout
the development
process,
you'll have
access to
view your
site on
our servers,
before its
available
on the web.
You'll be
able to
try your
site out
and approve
it development
along the
way.
We'll work
within your
budget,
and exceed
your expectations
of design
quality
and site
functionality.
Assessment
At
this stage, we
determine
the goals
of your
web site and discuss
the range
of your
content and desired
functionality.
We then
begin to outline
site structure,
story board
navigation
and define
major areas
of content.
We start
creating page mockups
using your
color selections
and identifying
graphics.
We'll begin
to determine
what types
of navigational
elements
work best with
your overall
design concept.
We'll also
gather site
components
and assets
such as
verbiage,
photos,
logos and
marketing
material
that will
be incorporated
into the
site. This
is an important
step in
that the
web site
design will
be built
around these
elements.
You'll
also need
to establish
a domain
name and
acquire
web site
hosting.
We can assist
you with
both of
these steps,
if requested.
Site
Planning
Here
is where
we refine
and finalize
overall
site structure.
We'll determine
how many
pages the
site will
contain
and what
form of
navigation
will provide
an intuitive
path to
your information.
We'll also
determine
what images
and content
to use for
each page.
Overall
Design
Once
the outline
and site
navigation
is finalized,
we develop
the overall
look and
feel of
the site,
incorporating
existing
graphic
material
and original
images to
create a
compelling,
professional
design.
We'll determine
what other
elements
we'll need
in order
to further
enhance
your site.
These might
include
additional
verbiage,
photographs,
original
graphics,
Flash movies,
video, forms
or web programs.
Site
Development
Once
the design
has been
approved,
the real
work begins
by first
converting
the design
into HTML
(the language
of web pages)
and web
graphics.
We typically
build template
based pages
that streamline
the development
process
and allow
ease of
global editing.
New graphics
or Flash
elements
are developed
and incorporated
into the
site and
database
programming
or other
development
tools are
built in
to the interface.
Finally,
your content
is implemented
into the
site and
formatted
to comply
with the
overall
design with
Cascading
Style Sheet
coding (CSS).
Go
Live
Once
your site
is completed,
tested and
approved,
we'll publish
it to the
World Wide
Web! We
continue
testing
the site
just after
the go live
date and
make any
corrections
necessary
until you're
completely
satisfied. |
