About Harrison Morgan Design

Harrison Morgan Design is a website design firm recently relocated to Birmingham, Alabama, after nine years of service in Atlanta, Georgia. Before the internet was even known to most of the world, owner and principal designer Harrison Morgan began his professional career originally as an educator and then a retail manager. Wanting to satisfy his creative urges, he decided to pursue a career in commercial graphic design, but through online job searches, stumbled upon a career in a fairly new field called "web design." Getting in just at the tail end of the dot-com boom, he began doing web graphics for a local web development firm in his spare time, before landing a full time job as webmaster for a small computer manufacturer in Atlanta in 2001.

Learning quickly to keep pace with the daily demands of maintaining a large business website, his HTML and design skills rapidly matured and soon he was redesigning much of the company's website as well as developing its full page ads for national publications. Gradually picking up more and more "part time" design work, including motion graphics for the Virginia based SiteWhirks and several website designs for other clients, Harrison decided to freelance full time and left his webmaster position to begin his own company.

Harrison Morgan Design is a small network of design and development professionals who collaborate in a variety of ways to develop and deliver websites of all shapes and sizes. The power of the Web makes it possible for us to live all over the US, yet still communicate efficiently and effectively. This also makes it possible for us to design and deliver websites to our customers no matter where they, or we, live.

In addition to being owner and principal designer for his own company, Harrison is also principal website designer and graphic designer for the Lanza Group in Atlanta, Georgia, principal Flash designer and developer for SiteWhirks in Warrenton, Virginia, principal Flash designer for the Gilbert & Sheppard Group in Atlanta, Georgia, and webmaster for TGC Media in Atlanta, Georgia, the Downtown East Point websites in East Point, Georgia, and Kids Enabled, in Atlanta Georgia and Dallas, Texas (all of whose sites were designed and developed by Harrison Morgan Design).
